Raw Vegan Chocolate

These raw chocolates really are the ultimate guilt-free indulgence.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup cacao butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch sea salt
  • Dried fruit or nuts, optional

Method
 

  1. Melt cacao butter and coconut oil in a double boiler
  2. Add cacao powder and whisk until no lumps remain.
  3. Mix in maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt.
  4. Add dried fruit or nuts, if desired, to silicone mold.  
  5. Pour in chocolate. Tap lightly on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
  6. Refrigerate until firm.
